I live in Bournemouth with my husband and two boys and am a compulsive maker of things...I always have at least one project on the go, not just yarn or fabric craft either. My workshop is crammed full of tools and materials for everything from leaded glass, silver work and enamelling to dressmaking, weaving and knitting and of course crochet.
I crochet because for me it is easier and faster than knitting; it's portable (for the most part); and a reasonably inexpensive way to occupy my time and end up with something useful at the end. There is generally only one stitch and so it's easy to keep track of and easy to pick up when I drop it. Plus I can do it on the sofa whilst watching telly in the evening ;o)
